Meet Your Financial Freedom Junkie

My journey to financial freedom was sparked in 2016 when I joined a club called The Honors Investment Portfolio (HIP). There, I learned the ins and outs of investing money, and my eyes were opened to the power of making rational economic decisions. HIP transformed my understanding of money and ignited a passion for continuous learning that hasn’t stopped since.

Since 2015, I’ve been blessed to navigate a career in accounting and finance. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), I’ve gained valuable experience across various sectors, including government service, corporate America, and Big 4 accounting, mostly as an auditor and forensic accountant.

That said, I have a passion for helping individuals and families achieve financial literacy and security, because life can be hard as it is, and managing finances — whether it’s eliminating debt, saving for the future, or improving your relationship with money — can feel even more stressful. But owning the knowledge and mindset to take control of your finances can be incredibly transformative.

You see, when my wife and I were just 27 years old and already parents to two kids, we owned three houses (two of which were rental properties) — not through a trust fund, but through hard work and intentional money management. Within two years, I was fortunate enough to retire her (in other words, promote her to full-time mom).

So, wherever you are on your journey to building a solid financial foundation, I’m here to guide you.

What I Live For

I’m proudly Cuban-Dominican, born and raised in Miami, Florida, where my childhood revolved around family, soccer, and music. I spent my early college years immersed in music — learning music theory, playing classical piano, and singing — before ultimately getting my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting.

Life has a wonderful way of guiding us down unexpected paths. I’m happily married to my best friend, Ashley, who I’ve known since I was about 5! Together, we traded the hustle of Miami for a slower pace on our Tennessee mini-farm, where we chase after chickens, ducks, and dogs and grew an appetite for gardening (HA! See what I did there? grew, appetite, gardening…). Our two amazing boys light up our worlds, somehow slowing us down while simultaneously pushing us forward in life and love.

Core Values

Do Right

Integrity without compromise includes being trustworthy and honest even when it’s unpopular, because when the lights go off, you can’t lie to yourself.

Follow Through

When you start something, commit and finish it. Be accountable and deliver on your promises.

Learn Together

It’s easy to get lost and forget that we all have something to give. When we work together to serve more than just each other, that’s when the magic happens..

Seek Balance

Extremes are unrealistic, and not everything can be a priority at once. Pursuing balance allows what we do to be sustainable and fulfilling.

Give Grace

We offer kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to others and ourselves. This creates a space where mistakes can be learned from, challenges can be overcome, and growth can flourish. We are human after all.
